longj@LONEX.RADC.AF.MIL (Jeffrey K. Long) describes a problem with Vault 2.01
crashing just as it begins to write to a newly formatted backup disk.

I experienced a similar problem and, with the help of Vault's author, traced 
it to a conflict between Vault and the ICD supplied utility program COPYFIX.PRG
in my Auto folder.  Changing the name of COPYFIX.PRG to COPYFIX.PR and
rebooting before I run The Vault solves the problem.
