I was getting two bombs after going through a couple of
screens until I rebooted with an (almost) empty \auto
folder, no accessories, and I ran vault right after booting.

Running almost any program before running Vault would give
me bombs.  Mind you, I didn't bother with much experimentation
after I was able to get a good backup.
