Message-ID: <15500006@hpdmd48.HP.COM> Date: 23 Mar 90 16:28:53 GMT Organization: Hewlett Packard - Boise, ID Lines: 14 Hi, I posted a note a while ago about making a gray-scale DECstation. Well, I'm about to do it, and I was wondering if anyone out there has changed a DECstation from monochrome to color (this is the same operation). It looks to me like all I need to do is change that one simm on the mother-board to the color frame-buffer. I'm planning to get that simm as a part from DEC. Is there anything else I need to know? I'm sure I need to change the drivers, and what not, but in terms of hardware, is that all I have to do? If anyone has the part number for that simm I would appreciate it too, otherwise I'll have to spend an hour on the phone with DEC Direct. Thanks
