I would recomend a company named Metrobyte. There are others, but I do not have any data handy. Your best bet is to check out a magzine called: Personal Engineering & Instru- mentation news, Reader Service Dept., Box 300, Brookline, MA 02146. They cater to data aquisition. IBM also makes a card! They recently announced what they call "The Audio/ Video connection" (or something like that). Although most A/D cards sample 8 differential or 16 single ended signals at 50kHz or greater and with 12 bit resolution, I get the impression that the IBM board is a 2 channel, 8 bit, 10kHz/ch. audio I/O board. I'm not sure of the specs, as their product announcement is WORTHLESS from a technical standpoint, but I am sure that it is designed to be a stereo audio recorder/playback board that connects straight to your stereo. Price is aroung $495, BUT . . it takes LOTS of RAM, and the SOFTWARE is another $495.00. Good luck. -- Harry Haas GTRI/RAIL/TDD "What makes it DO that!?" - Bones Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta Georgia, 30332 uucp: ...!{decvax,hplabs,ncar,purdue,rutgers}!gatech!prism!hh2 Internet: hh2@prism.gatech.edu HHaas@GTRI01.GATECH.EDU
