Yesterday I interrupted a program that, perhaps, I shouldn't have.
As a result, I seemed to trash a significant portion of the system
area of my hard disk. I could list directories, but many were
screwed up. I could not boot from the disk. CHKDSK reported a
probable non-DOS disk. I managed to back up the D: partition, but
I could not do the C: partition.

Hmmm, I thought. I was not too worried, having backed up the disk
only a short while previously, but thought I would have to clear and
reformat partition C:, then restore all files on C:, and maybe D:.

Then I remembered PCTOOLS MIRROR, which makes a copy of the system
area of my disk every time I reboot. I tried the command REBUILD C:.
The disk immediately worked perfectly, and I have noticed no
problems since then.

This program actually works. Yet another reason to buy PCTOOLS (I
have no connection with the company other than as a very satisfied
customer).
