Have people notices that the vast majority of the things mentioned in this
thread so far are features of the shell, not the system services, and that
they are pretty much solved with 4dos (and possibly with the other commercial
compeditors liek command-plus)
I wrote to Mr Letwin and suggested Microsoft license 4dos.  Stranger things
have happened.
Though not often.
