On the day I called for information, I got one of their receptionists who read off of the product brochure for me. The main problem with COHERENT is that it's only SOURCE compatible with UNIX, it's not BINARY compatible. Obvioulsy, you can't use most off the shelf packages such as LanManager, SQL manager, etc. They also do not have a DOS emulator (such as VP/IX) at this time, so you're limited there, too. About the only thing you can do is compile and run your own programs. As far as the package goes, it sounds like a good deal to me. As mentioned, it includes the C compiler, Lex and Yacc, all text utilities, a symbolic and anbsoulte debugger. One thing I did ask about was the future price, since this is a promotional offer. The futer price they "were kicking around" was $169.
