I installed 4.01 and lost 32K of RAM! This was a duplicate of my existing 3.3 configuration with none of the selectable extra features of 4.01. Half the programs I frequently used no longer ran off PCSHELL from PCTOOLS Deluxe. I went back to 3.3 as I decided I could live with a partitioned disk better than I could live with bouncing in and out of PCSHELL to run FREQUENTLY used programs. RAM cram is bad enough without DOS making it worst. If DOS gets any bigger I will not be able to run many of my applications. There are two enhancements I want. The first is a command line editor. The second is a more sophisticated batch language. First priority is a counter (e.g. DO %COUNT% TIMES). Second priority is more flexible ERRORLEVEL checking (e.g. IF ERRORLEVEL <= 10).
