I sure was not expecting the deluge of messages that I got. In any case, the problem IS NOT with WP 5.1. It has to do with the video synchronization and the user-defined cursors that WP 5.1 can use (CURSOR.COM does this). In order for WP 5.1 to function with some motherboards and video boards, you have to include the "/nc" command switch. Apparently this disables WP 5.1 from having direct cursor control. The side effects are inability to change cursor speed, and being unable to use a user-defined cursor size. Another possible switch is the "/nk" command which I suppose has something to do with keyboard input. Both of these switches were supplied by WordPerfect's technical support group. Jon
