Yes, these features do exist in the OS as it is like you say but what      
everyone is saying is they want Microsoft to use them in the shell.  This
way, everyone's shell will be the same and we won't have to depend on 
third party shells such as 4DOS.  I'm not saying the 4DOS is bad, I personally
like it, but it would be nice for the head honcho (Microsoft) to utilize all
of their own tools.
