  Since there are a lot of interests, I summarize 
what I've found to make KERMIT work with COM3 and COM4.

1st: in KERMIT.DOC, there is a small program "setcom3.com"
built from DEBUG.

2nd: in simtel20.arpa, "addport" under
<msdos.sysutl> can be used to add port addresses
to 40:00 area. I recommend this program. It is
flexible and has source code with it. You can
play with it and make KERMIT work with COM4 and up.
