We're seeing 1 GB 5.25" disks now, so 2 GB is fairly close. I've seen ads for WORMs with 2.5 GB on a side. I want something that we won't need to change until the 21st century. If you're going to change something, change it to something that you won't hit anytime soon. I would prefer 1 TB. In case you think I'm crazy to ask for all that space, we regularly take data on wind turbines that generate files that are tens of megabytes. We are working on a PCM based system that will generate 300 MB files. That's THIS year - not 2000. The situation will only get worse. 2 GB just won't cut it for the long haul. -- Marshall L.
