The T1000 does, however, have its limitations, the display being one of the most noticable. My way of working is to keep PROCOMM and WordPerfect 4.2 in the battery backed-up RAM disk. This covers most of my requirements when "on the road". However, in the office I use PROCOMM Plus and WordPerfect 5.0 (soon to be 5.1). The problem is that PC+ and WP5.0 will not fit into the RAM disk. This and the display are the main drivers to find a new machine. The machine that I am currently attracted to is the Toshiba 1200XE. It has the same capability of being carried around in my briefcase, has a much better display, and, though modest by today's standards, the 20MB hard-disk will hold everything that I need and more when away from the office. Further, it is much faster than the T1000 and the LIMS 4.0 memory may find its uses. I am currently attracted to this machine (despite the fact that it is not a 386) and I am looking for any comments from other users, or suggestions for other machines which would do an equivalent job.
