From page 1 of the "PhoneNET(R) User's Guide":

	"Patents for several design concepts used in the PhoneNET
	connector and system are pending"

Any clone maker should have been aware of this.  Farallon did not just
go out and sneak a patent in while no one was watching!  Remember, it
takes several years to get a patent.
