(Yes, I know, I actually considered a MS-DOS computer) I am new to the MAc world and have been collecting any information on them I can get my hands on, but I am still a bit confused. I am getting a MAc for purely personal use, mostly for word processing, desktop publishing (which I understand Mac's excel at) and personal recoed keeping (Hypercard?) with a little games playing in the interim, and I also need a telecommunications package. I am trying to decide between a Mac+ and an SE, and I need to know what the advantage of spending the extra $500 for the SE is, or for my use if I will be happy with the Mac+ and not have to worry about not being supported. Is it too late to buy a Mac+, because of so many newer models, or can I be assured of support for this "older" machine? Also, I wish to know if I can connect any printer to a Mac, and be able to use packages such as Aldus PAgemaker 3.0? Or do I have to buy an Imagewriter II? One final question, can I hook up any modem to a Mac just by using a special interface cable, or do I need to buy a Mac modem? Any and all help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
