Summary: seagate 40 meg hd Keywords: recall, seagate Message-ID: <1990Mar23.031948.21074@eng.umd.edu> Date: 23 Mar 90 03:19:48 GMT Sender: news@eng.umd.edu (The News System) Organization: Maryversity of Uniland, College Park Lines: 16 A few days back, I posted to the net problems that I was having with my 40 meg HD (Seagate) on my Mac II. Since then, I got one reply telling me that Apple has "quietly" recalled the Seagate 40's, and was wondering if this is true? I'm wondering if the person who sent me the message meant QUANTUM, even though I made it clear that it was a Seagate, not Quantum. I haven't seen anything about problems with Seagates in comp.sys.mac.hardware or comp.sys.mac, so I'm wondering.... Can anybody (at apple, maybe?) confirm if this is true? Thanks. - -= Allon =- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a test of the emergency signature system.
