Summary: Clarification requested, quickly Keywords: recall, seagate Message-ID: <8086@tank.uchicago.edu> Date: 25 Mar 90 08:16:53 GMT References: <1990Mar23.031948.21074@eng.umd.edu> Organization: University of Chicago Lines: 14 The article to which I am responding is from a fellow who was told his Seagate drive may have been recalled, to which his response was, "This is a Seagate, not a Quantum." Having recently decided to buy a Microtech Nova 40 HD (based on the Quantum P40S), and never having heard a thing about Quantum recalls, I am naturally quite concerned. PLEASE, if ANYONE knows about Quantums being recalled and why, or if anyone has ANY reasons why I should cancel my purchase (which will, all things remaining the same, go into effect on MONDAY 3/26), PLEASE send me this information as soon as possible. Thank you! -B. F. Braumoeller bfb1@tank.uchicago.edu CIS: 71076,1157 (but why?)
