I set my clients up with MultiTech MultiModems regularly with excellent results. Using one now, it does not smell too bad. Perhaps the gentleman with the gripe might care to get a little more specific... one person I found that hate the MultiModem, turns out he hates the V.32 standard in general...some obscure technical reason. But for the rest of us, any international standard for 9600bps is a welcome one. And, I seem to have no problem with logging on to BBS's all over at 9600bps, and getting fast file transfers... -- Randy Shaw - via FidoNet node 1:125/777 UUCP: ...!sun!hoptoad!fidogate!161!555!Randy.Shaw INTERNET: Randy.Shaw@f555.n161.z1.FIDONET.ORG
