(and at what price....?) > Take a look at a recent issue of Personal Workstation (used to be MIPS, no?) magazine. The last page each issue is an APPLICATION WATCH where they list and count "Number of shipping applications" for NextStep, OS/2-PM, Motif, and Open Look. The April 90 issue scores them 22, 18, 3, 12 respectively. BTW, PW reports Wingz is shipping for all three of the Unix environments above. While I'm here. There is a comparison review in the same issue of low cost systems---Apollo 2500, Hawk II 486, NeXT, DG AViiON, and HP 345. (They also discuss the high end Amigas and Macs, but they aren't in the review.) "Of five low-cost Unix workstations...the NeXT offers the most features and the DG AViiON gives you the best price/performance."
