I am trying to do a simulation study of granularity issues in replication
and need to get a realistic model of node failures and recovery. I am
looking for statistics on time between node failures, time between
recoveries, time between maintainence (sp?) shutdowns, link failures etc,
in an environment of network of workstations.

If you are maintaining these kind of statistics, I would appreciate it if
you can send to me some details.
