Summary: emacs.rc .emacsrc help requested Message-ID: <3183@usceast.UUCP> Date: 10 Apr 90 16:12:52 GMT Organization: University of South Carolina, Columbia Lines: 26 I don't know if this kind of question belongs here :-) but, here goes. I am new to emacs but have been forced to learn to use it because I occassionally need to edit files larger than vi, etc... will hold and emacs was `there`. I don't quite understand how emacs.rc or .emacsrc (or whatever it is called) works and don't have a manual. If anybody has a nifty manual which would get me started--how to use the rc file (so that I can reconfigure it myself), I'd probably be able to go from there. Thank you net-landers for your support and understanding. mike godawski godawski@hobbes.cs.scarolina.edu godawski@calvin.cs.scarolina.edu usceast!hobbes!godawski ncrcae!usceast!hobbes!godawski ncr-sd!ncrcae!usceast!hobbes!godawski ... -- -- [generic signature] UUCP: ...usceast!calvin!username
