It's really a nice unit but appears to have certain problems. 1) There is a local multi-line TBBS board that has the exact same modem connected to it's second line. Yet, I can only get a /REL connect about every other call. This is very frustrating, to say the least. I've even tried using \C2 and %A122 to force my modem to wait longer for the MNP handshake. The other modem doesn't even send the MNP handshake for nearly 12 seconds after answering. 2) It appears to be rather slow to accept commands. 3) I can't turn the modem off and right back on and expect it to power up correctly every time. It usually takes more than 5 tries before the unit will power up and initialize properly. Has anyone else had similar experiences with this modem? If so, have your gotten around any of these problems and if so how? I get good /REL connections with all other MNP modems every time I call them, but not with another Cardinal MB2400EX unit. Thanks in advance for any help.
