Agreed!  I also was embarrassed by his presentation, particularly since I had
just been extolling the technical virtues of SIGGRAPH just before the
beginning of Barnsley's talk.  I chalked it up to his naivete or poor judgement
but now I can't say as I'm so sure of that.  

Where the *hell* were the reviewers on that paper???
