It is very good -- it's about the only graphics textbook with actual, "hard-core" information, not simplifying things to the point of unusability. Oddly enough, I've heard that the publisher is printing it primarily as a "public service" -- it expects to _lose_ money on the book. (It expects to continue making money on the first edition, though, which is much less complete). I suppose it figures... I don't know a release date for the book, but the preprint, which is several months old by now, still needed a lot of work... jonathan
