Please elaborate further on what you need.  Are you familiarwith the
final cuurent status of ACR-NEMA?  Are you familiar with image formats
from Philips, Siemens, Diasonics, GE, et al?

You are undertaking a slightly monumental task, but one that may be
quite useful to some people.  Please define some specific questions, and
maybe I can help.

BTW, this may  be best served as a discussion on sci.med.physics, where
we
deal with these images routinely.
