I have an application in which each item is an object and all respond to some messages ("redraw", "pick a good default graphic", ...) and some contain heterogeneous (sp?) lists of other objects and so on. I think this is "real" objects. Why is it not "real" objects to you? (BTW, it's a FD program for animating Estelle specs, if you are interested) -- Darren
