My colleague prepares several monthly reports in PC-PageMaker, and prints the PostScript files to disk. The files are then ZIPped, and uploaded to the VAX, for retrieval. I can successfully download, and UnZIP, with the UnZIP utility, on this Macintosh. The files look good. However, using DistillPS to download to the NTX, the error log reports "Error: Limitcheck..." and points to S_IMAGEMASKV3 FF .... (very many characters follow). If I use an edit utility, and remove just the IMAGEMASKs from the file, it prints successfully. (Of course, the pages have no graphics.) Can anyone offer some insight? Our objective is a "device independent" PS file, which can be printed from the PC, Mac, or VAX to a PS printer. John Stremikis
