It seems that due to the make-up of the MGM Grand Hotel (also most others in Las Vegas) the attendees had to cross the gaming area to get to the sessions. This was generally done at top speed with no time taken off to play. When attendees did stop at the tables they generally were watchers rather than players. In order to find out what the locals thought I put on a suit on Friday (at DECUS this was travelling incognito) and sat down to play some serious blackjack. I struck up a conversation with the dealer who confided to me that he (and he indicated this was the general concensus) hoped we would *not* return. --- Barry L.
