I downloaded a new BETA release of the packet drivers from clarkson. Something new -- a packet driver for IPX, humm... isn't that like simulating an abacus on a supercomputer? Then it hit me, those token ring cards talk IPX just fine. We re-configured the ka9q router to use the IPX packet driver on the token ring side and presto it all worked. The TR workstations can attach to the NetWare server and use NCSA's telnet all at the same time. Many thanks to Phil Karn, Russ Nelson, and others who support this software. You're welcome, but I *specifically* requested that you send a report to me. I don't say this to chide you, but rather to enourage others to send me their reports. I have had 77 people download drivers.arc, and only received two reports. This does not encourage me to do open beta testing... -- --russ (nelson@clutx [.bitnet | .clarkson.edu]) Russ.Nelson@$315.268.6667 Violence never solves problems, it just changes them into more subtle problems Clarkson will be featured on PBS's Computer Chronicles next week.
