Presently, there are two: Our part PC-215 sends native Ethernet IP packet, and work with any Ethernet VINES driver newer than 2.10. Banyan sells another version, which sends IP packets encapsulated in VINES IPC datagrams, and requires the IP router option on the VINES servers, so they can re-encapsulate the packets in the correct native IP framing when they leave the VINES subnet. This is useful if you have networks which IP doesn't normally use, but it is a bit slower than the native Ethernet version.
