It really amazes me how these "developers" put practially no thought into the user interface -- what the player sees the most. What I wouldn't pay for a version of risk which was designed by the makers of SimCity... In order to initiate an attack, you must: type AMIGA-N (which incidently put me back to my shell window the 1 time I tried it) or pull down and select the New Attack menu item Why can't they just have a gadget thingie on the screen labelled "attack"? It sure would be nice to put the whole map on the screen like jeapord, and perhaps blow-up those regions in battle. This map scrolling is nonsense. When you win an attack, this huge white requester window comes up and covers most of the on-screen map asking you how many armies you want to move. "Let me see the god damned map so I can figure it out!!!" Of course the game is played in low-res so I feel like an idiot for buying a flicker fixer to enhance my hi-res. And to top it all off, the Custom RISK font is absolutely retarded. Gee Wiz, what's wrong with Times Roman anyway? Oh yeah, they are running in lo-res. It is crap like this which will cause the destruction of Commodore-Amiga; when my machine runs this software, it is a very unimpressive machine. Chuck L. Peterson clp@altos.com
