Message-ID: <5115@cbnewsl.ATT.COM> Date: 12 Apr 90 21:27:32 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories Lines: 31 Hello people, I have finally come to my senses :-) and decided to lose my 386 box in favor of an Amiga 2000 or 2500 system. I have the following concerns for which I would like advice: 1. I don't want to take a beating on the difference between what I can sell the 386 for and what I can buy the system for. I don't want to buy a system which is less powerful than the one I have (there are those of you who would say a 500 would outpower a 386 but I think you know what I mean :-) 2. Can I run a getty-like thing to allow CLI access remotely in conjunction with a UUCP-like thing for file xfers? I know that both exist, can they happen on the same machine at the same time? 3. Is the 2090A still available? I would like to take the hard drive out of the 386 and use it on the Amiga. If not the 2090, what alternatives are there? 4. Anything else I should watch out for? Response via e-mail would be preferred, if there is sufficient interest I will post a summary. thanks in advance, __ Robert Diamond (201) 576-2357 /\ AT&T Lincroft 1A-205 /RO\ ...!att!lzatt!rmd \BD/ \/
