(Maybe 1084?  Can't remember the model of monitor ... whatever color
 monitor was sold with the 1000's back in '85!)

I remember reading about problems with these, regarding popping and (I
seem to recall) whining.  Well, mine is starting to emit this high pitched
whine and I was wondering if there was something I could do about it.

Any info would be appreciated ...
