        That's funny, When I got my datalink (it's a 2400) they had two
versions of the s/w one required a //e or better, and the other (much simpler)
worked for the older II's .. Perhaps this happened after you bought your modem,
or perhaps before (I bought mine about 2 yrs ago..).
