Hmmm... I don't know what program it is about which Chris (somebody; Portal  
ditches the headers when I "add a followup article") says

... but I have a beast here somewhere which runs on the IBM PC, using
the lower-density of the two PC disk formats, which can and does READ
and WRITE Atari 8-bit double-density MYDOS disk files, which can then
be read on a US-Doubler-equipped 1050 and maybe other drives too for 
all I know.  It came off this Net at some time in the past, but if y'all 
want it I can surely post it.  Ask and ye shall receive...
