There was a post to Genie about 2 weeks ago by an Atari spokesperson (I think it was Bob Brodie) and the essence was that Atari Explorer was moving under direct control of Atari in order to provide a better mag. The last issue of the old Atari Explorer was supposed to be mailed out ASAP (I haven't got mine). There was wording about commitment to subscribers and advertisers remaining a high priority. That was all the statement said. I find this curious, about 3 months ago I got an early renewal request from Atari Explorer claiming "we need to demonstrate subscriber commitment to our advertisers so please renew early and we'll give you a nice discount". %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% % Andy Cassino % % uucp: hplabs!hplsla!andyc domain: andyc%hplsla@hplabs.hp.com % % Hewlett-Packard Lake Stevens Instrument Division % % 8600 Soper Hill Road Everett, WA 98205-1298 % % (206) 335-2211 % %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
