I've recently ftp System 6.05 from apple.com and would like to get it from my encore (unix) account to my macintosh. What I normally do to dowlnload a file from my unix account is to use mcvert to convert it to a macbinary file and then use an xmodem program and RedRyder to get the file to my mac. I don't normally have any problems with this, until now. When I try to send any portion of the 6.05 (each is about 600K), the transfer quits about 3/4 of the way through it. I've tried sending the binhex'ed file and the mcvert'ed version, but the same thing happens each time. I know there is enough disk space on my mac (I'm downloading onto my harddrive, I know, bad idea -- virus). Thanks in advance for any tips. Please reply via email to ccsi67@umaxc.weeg.uiowa.edu Joe.
