I am aware that the hp48sx does have a high pitch buzz from previous readings and from a friend who also has a version A hp48sx. BUT, this is noticeably louder (ie. can be heard 8 feet away when running a program). QUESTION: - Is this unfortunate yet harmless, or should I return the calculator? - Is there a possibility of harming anything, draining batteries faster, etc... Somebody wanna comment (HP listening )... Thanks in advance, Aaron Din. ==> Agima <== Moral: Although you can hear the heartbeat of your hp, I'm afraid mine's about to have a heart attack! ----------
