I want to be able to read / modify inter sector gaps, write non-IBM format disks and stuff like that. I realize that a program that does all that would be highly hardware specific, but I hope someone has already done this for a standard floppy interface and a standard MFM hard disk controller. Norton Utilities and the like are not of any use to me, as they (at least the versions I have) use BIOS routines to access the disks which fail on nonstandard disk formats. I would be grateful for any information you might have regarding a) is there such a program out there b) where do I get it (I'd prefer p.d. or shareware, but commercial products are ok if the price is reasonable) c) or - maybe - has anyone written such a beast and would be willing to share the source code with me or the net community? Please email, I'll summarize to the net if there is enouh interest. Thanks, Martin --- Martin Freiss freiss.pad@nixdorf.com Nixdorf Computers Germany
