Keywords: my pc needs more memory Message-ID: <9525@mentor.cc.purdue.edu> Date: 11 Apr 90 18:12:44 GMT Organization: Purdue University Lines: 12 I recently purchased an old IBM PC original from a friend. It currently has only 512K of memory, which he said cost about $200 for purchase & installation. What is the name of the item which adds memory to the system? (i.e. what do I look for in a catalog?) I would like to upgrade to 1-3 megs of memory, but how much will this cost?? And how do I install the memory myself (if it is not too difficult)--I have worked with memory and card installations on ps/2's before, but I don't have any experience with pc's. Also, any sources of cheap RAM (catalogs, dealers, etc.) will be appreciated. Thanks! Bob Sikorski gzp@mentor.cc.purdue.edu
