Hi,

I need to leave my Mac II on at all times as I am planning to attach 
a fax modem to it.  I'll be using the modem to both send and receive
messages.  Does anyone have any idea about what this is going to do 
to the longevity of my system?  Can I attach hardware accessories 
or run some software programs to help save the system?  Any insight 
would be welcome.
