I wonder if anybody out there has figured out how to make the finances of Detroit work (i.e. get out of the red) while actually reducing crime. Obviously you need to do some redevelopment to increase land values but I haven't been able to figure out an approach that works. It's easy to reduce crime with police stations, but hard to afford them. Feel free to post a reply, but try to send it by mail, too.
