I had the following situation happen while in Word 4.0:
I got a system bomb and then I changed the PC with MacBug in order
to try to save the file I was working on. This failed so I had to restart
the machine and when I restarted, my Suitcase II icon didn't show up
upon startup.  I have Aask init and I tried to load Suitcase through
Aask and it didn't show up in the window.  Anybody out there in 
netland got any clues as to where my Mac put my Suitcase?
