Backdrop puts up a Macpaint document on the desktop. It chooses (randomly) from the Macpaint documents in a folder called Screens in your system folder. The backdrop comes up fine, but when I open up my hard disk, and then close it, (or do anything else on the screen) the desktop gets all messed up. It seems that it isn't redrawing the desktop properly. I am using system 6.0.2 and the standard Mac II monitor. If anyone has an answer, or a program that they know of that does the same thing as Backdrop, (and works on a MacII) let me know. This set up works fine on a Mac plus. -- Jim Shain Sometimes our greatest limitation Department of Library Computing is our narrow-mindedness.
