Does anyone own one of these beasts, or has anyone seen one in action?
I have the opportunity to get one quite cheaply, but I have heard
rumours about recalls, and that they are very slow and/or noisy, and
other terrible things.  However, I can get one for significantly less
than an Imagewriter II, and it seems that it might be worth it at that
price.

I've also heard that they have been discontinued, but that an upgrade
will be available to make them into something better -- Imagewriter LQ
II, perhaps?
