A long time ago, someone brought to my attention some UNIX-based cross-development tools for the Macintosh. I'm not sure whether the toolset was in the public domain, or simply available for a nominal license fee from Stanford. I think the name of the toolset was SUMACC, and included an assembler, C compiler, and linker. Does anyone have any information about the toolset? Is it available via FTP from sumex-aim? Is it still being maintained? To forestall the inevitable "...but what would you want THAT for when you can use LSC, MPW, " posts, I'll admit that I know these products exist and are without a doubt the bee's knees for Macintosh programming. I'm still curious about SUMACC. So...anyone know about it? If y'all send me e-mail instead of posting, I'll be happy to investigate and summarize.
