Lines: 16 This is a Ridge 32 computer with ROS 3.5 (mix of BSD4.2 and System V) on it. There is a file called /ros/badblocks. I tryed to vi it but got a error message 'permision denied'. I looked the mode of it. it's 000. No wonder, I thought. Ok, chmod 777 /ros/badblocks. vi /ros/badblocks. Again, permission denied!!! What is going on? I am root. I suppose to have absolute power on the unix. Why don't I have the permision to open this file? I need that file to format the disk. Any help is welcome.
