    We would like to use a R/W optical disk on an SGI 4D20 or 4D25.
The ones I have seen are from Maxtor and Sony.  We would like to use
the ~300 Mb per side drives and media.  Does anyone have experience with
these drives?  What is your media cost?

***** IMPORTANT *****

    Could a knowledgeable SGI representative comment on when SGI might
qualify one of these or another drive?  If so, what release will the driver
show up in?
