You should try to call Acropolis at (408) 946-6947. They have prices for 4-Mb SIMM pretty close to what you're thinking. They also have good prices as well as support for disk and tape subsystems too. We've purchased an add-on memory board for our Sun3-50 from them, and are pretty happy with the price and performance.
