Try: ps -t ttywhatever [get the pid of the 'vpix' process] kill -1 vpixpid kill -1 pid usually does the trick for killing a vpix process. However, I'm not sure that that will unfreeze the console. Others have suggested (SCO included) that you unplug the keyboard for a second and then plug it back. Sounds a bit fishy to me. Perhaps this problem has been lessened in the newest release of VP/ix, version 1.2. It has lots of other nifty features as well which may make it worth the price of admission. -- Michael R.
